A Wyoming man remains on the loose after leading police and sheriff's deputies on a high-speed chase.
Sheridan police officers say the chase started 11:30 a.m. Monday on East 5th Street, when an officer recognized the male driver as having an outstanding misdemeanor arrest warrant for probation violation stemming from earlier DUI and possession of controlled substance charges.
When officer tried the pull the vehicle over, the driver failed to stop. Officers say the vehicle continued north and proceeded onto Decker Road, Wyoming HWY 338.
Once into the county, Sheridan County sheriff's deputies and the Wyoming Highway Patrol assisted by taking control of the pursuit, which led just inside the Montana state border. The Wyoming Highway Patrol and the Sheridan County sheriff's office ended their pursuit at that time.
Further charges against the driver stemming from this incident are expected. The driver's identity has not been made known.
