If South Dakota continues on its current path - expect to see continued growth in economic development. That was the key message Monday morning from Governor, Dennis Daugaard at the Rapid City Economic Development Partnership breakfast.
The governor said the three main economic goals for this year are:
-To have current businesses expand operations
-To provide incentives for entrepreneurs to start a business
-And continue to encourage out-of-state businesses to expand in to South Dakota
"If you talk to people who have multi state locations, including a location in South Dakota, they'll often say that their South Dakota location is one of the best, if not the best among all the states where they do business, Daugaard said.
Daugaard said he wants to make sure South Dakota sustains that reputation in order to attract more out of state businesses and jobs into the state.
