Local dog makes history at national dog show

You could call it a true underdog story.

Deb Davenport's Spinoni Italiano, known as "Partito" made history after placing at December's AKC Eukanaba Championship.

"Partito" became the first dog of the Spinoni breed to place as a finalist.

Davenport and her family drove to Florida for the event and couldn't have been happier for Partito to make history.

"Just so excited because I knew that it had never happened for our breed before in a big show like that. And to just get the recognition and have the judge notice my dog and to get down to the finalists like that was unbelievable," said Deb Davenport.

If you'd like to watch Partito make history KOTA-TV and ABC will broadcast the AKC Eukanaba Championship on Saturday February 2nd.
