Slick roads remain after snow stops

The snowfall has stopped and the wind has died down, but the slick driving conditions in KOTA Territory remain.

Travel Advisories on I-90 and area highways have been lifted, but according to the Department of Transportation portions of I-90 are still slick, and east of Rapid City due to high winds and heavy snow fall, there are deep drifts on the roadway.

Captain Kevin Karley with the Highway Patrol says Troopers have responded to one injury crash and 16 non injury crashes since Saturday morning.

Karley says most of the accidents were in the southern hills and east of Rapid City on I-90.
Sergeant Andy Beck with the Rapid City Police Department says local police responded to nine accidents.
