For the fifth year in a row, a KOTA Territory company donated a whole day's worth of profits to local charities.
Isis Hospitality hosted its fifth-annual Isis Gives Back event Saturday, donating all the proceeds after operating expenses from the entire complex on Elk Vale Road.
Sliders, Watiki Water Park, and both hotels in the complex participated.
This year, the money will go to the Arete Morsching Scholarship Fund, the Dahl Arts Center, BMX Rapid City, Soccer Rapid City, the Boys Club, the United Way and NeighborWorks.
They were chosen from a list of groups that met certain requirements.
"As long as you meet those and apply through Black Hills Community Foundation," said Isis CEO Caleb Arceneaux, "then our board gets together and we choose those organizations that we feel is going to do the greatest amount of good for the area."
Attendance was down Saturday due to bad weather, but last year, Isis raised an all-time high of $52,000, bringing the five-year total to more than $200,000.
