ShinyReputation.com comments on an article, released by CNBC, originally written by The Huffington Post, on the backlash of posting negative reviews and how not to let such public problems influence a business’ reputation.
Orlando, FL (PRWEB) January 06, 2013
ShinyReputation.com released their opinion today on an article from CNBC regarding the repercussions of negative reviews and how written defamation is plaguing one Virginian business owner. SR also provides insight into the steps that any business can take to eliminate the effect of harsh words from an angry patron.
In a suit filed last year in Fairfax County Circuit Court (Case No. 2012-16249), one woman is being mandated to change her Yelp review that she wrote about a contracting company. It was said, she made false claims about the business and in the end caused the plaintiffs to lose work opportunities as well as harmed the plaintiff’s reputation. Unfortunately, it only takes one false claim to bring about an array of problems.
ShinyReputation.com recommends starting with these tips should an owner find their business in a similar situation:
-Keep vigilant of discriminatory or false remarks being made on the reviews through Yelp.
-Should false information be posted about employees or a business and regular means of conflict solving don’t work consider taking legal measures.
CNBC was launched in April of 1989 as a subset of NBCUniversal. Its purpose is to cover business headlines and provide live coverage of financial markets. It is considered the 19th most valuable cable channel in the United States.
ShinyReputation.com commented today on an article originally published by The Huffington Post, but re-released on CNBC, on the legality involving negative reviews, and how business owners can keep these kind of public issues from tarnishing their business reputation.
