Food drive profits feed Black Hills hungry

People across kota territory gave, and now, there are fewer families in the Black Hills going hungry this year.
The KOTA Care and Share food drive raised just under $80,000 in cash donations, as well as close to 140,000 pounds of food.

All proceeds are split between Feeding South Dakota and the Church Response Food Pantry.

Food pantry workers say the need for food is greater than ever, and more children and elderly people are using their services.
Church response staff say at least 13,000 families were fed at their pantry last year, and the food donated by the care and share food drive will last them until April.
