A lot of people are still rushing around on the day before Christmas to finish up their shopping.
Downtown Sheridan is a popular spot for many KOTA Territory shoppers, thanks to the many brand name and local shops to choose from.
And it is even more popular this year as shoppers have a little more cash to spend now than they did during the last few holiday shopping seasons.
"Definitely this year, yes, compared to other years in the past. Things have worked out better in my life, so yeah, I can spend a little more," said shopper Wendy Kerr.
Business owners agree that shoppers appear more willing to open up the wallet this holiday season. The Sport Shop in downtown says Sheridan's reputation as a travel destination also helps bring in shoppers.
"Sheridan has such a unique downtown that people enjoy coming to downtown, whatever the economy is doing. But I do feel that people are feeling like they can spend more," said The Sport Shop co-owner Michelle Maneval.
Maneval also says most last minute shoppers are focusing on stocking stuffers, like gift cards.
