Is a white Christmas possible? - KOTA Territory News

Is a white Christmas possible?

Just in time for Christmas, snow is falling in parts of KOTA Territory.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for much of the area starting at 6 p.m. MST Monday evening and going into Christmas morning.

The snowfall is a rare occasion on this holiday. Since 1947, Rapid City has only had 24 white Christmas'.

There needs to be at least an inch of snow on the ground for Meteorologists to count the holiday as "white Christmas" - so keep your fingers crossed!
