A new website invites community involvement in the design phase of the Main Street Square sculpture project.
The new website, devoted to the sculpture project: passage of wind and water was unveiled by Destination Rapid City on Friday.
Locals we talked to say they're looking forward to having their voices heard.
"It is nice that he's asking people in the area what they think since this is our home and we're going to have to live with it for awhile," says Cari Jag of Rapid City.
"I like the way it looks right now and if they wanted to do some work on it I would suggest making it reminiscent of the Black Hills," says Andrea Hovy of Rapid City.
The project is estimated to take three to five years to finish.
The sculptor will be living in Rapid City from June to September each year until the sculptures are complete.
