The remembrance of the Newtown, Connecticut shooting victims continues to extend to KOTA Territory.
The church bells at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Sheridan rang 26 times for the 26 victims at 9:30 Friday morning.
Jessi Odom says the moment served as a reminder to how important it is for communities to come together, especially in times of crisis.
"It kind of brings unity to the nation. Everybody's kind of been unified by this tragedy. But it's also like an audible reminder that God is with us in times of tragedy," said Odom, the parish secretary.
The bells were accompanied by a moment of silence.
