Two vehicle crash at Hermosa sends five to hospital, names released

One person was airlifted, four others taken to the hospital with injuries after a two-vehicle crash south of Hermosa Thursday.

South Dakota Highway Patrol Sergeant Kevin Kinney says the driver of a Suburban may have fallen asleep and cruised through a stop sign at the intersection of Highway 79 and Highway 36.

The Suburban, carrying four people, struck a car with one occupant.
