Last minute charity event will benefit dozens of children

A last minute charity event will help more than 40 KOTA Territory children.
The Box Elder Angel Tree was set up at city hall just two weeks ago and has already pulled in more than a hundred gifts.

Those presents now go to children in the Box Elder area. Tanya Shepersky says the community has really come together. "We have received a lot of gifts. We got big support from The Yellow Bike Program, they brought up 10 bikes. The Belle Star gave us all the toys from their annual toy drive, so we're really thankful to them to be able to help out this community."
Shepersky says they started with only 20 names on the tree, and now have more than 40. That means each child in need will have two gifts to open on Christmas Day.
