High school basketball players from predominantly Native American schools are descending on Rapid City for the Lakota Nation Invitational basketball tournament.
The 36th annual tournament runs through Saturday.
In addition to basketball, the event includes wrestling, archery and cheerleading competitions. A Lakota language bowl, knowledge bowl and an art show are also offered.
If you count family, friends, and others, Rapid City can see as many as 25,000 people over the next four days.
It's estimated the tournament will bring $1.3 million dollars into the local economy.
