United will resume non-stop summer flights to Houston

Posted:

There's good news for South Dakota's tourism industry; this summer United Airlines will once again offer nonstop flights between Rapid City and Houston.

The seasonal service means the Black Hills are easier for visitors to reach by air.

Tickets for the route went on sale this week for travel between June 6 and Aug. 26.

The United Express Service to the Texas City began last summer and brings the number of non-stop flights out of Rapid City Regional Airport to eight.

United will offer round-trip service aboard a 50 passenger jet, seven days a week between Rapid City and Houston.

United also offers direct flights out of Rapid City to Denver and Chicago/O'Hare.
