Teacher accused of rape may change plea to guilty

A New Underwood teacher accused of having sex with one of his students may change his plea to guilty. His attorney, Tim Rensch, scheduled a change of plea hearing for January 7th.

Deputy State's Attorney Ryan Rider says he and Rensch are working to hammer out the details of a possible plea agreement before Keegan's next hearing.

The victim in the case is between 13 and 16 years-old.  The alleged rape happened in the early morning hours of October 6th.

If convicted, Keegan faces thirty years in prison.
