Gas prices continue to drop across the country. Some KOTA territory stations are even selling gas at less than $3.00/gallon.
Like at 4-U Stores in Box Elder, where gas is at $2.98. That is well below South Dakota's average, which AAA says is $3.29.
The drivers that we talked to at 4-U say lower prices are a welcomed sight.
"It's nice to see them go down. I think people have been so used to them being high they don't really realize that just a few years ago it wasn't that unusual for it to be under three dollars a gallon, said Ted Jones of Sturgis.
Normally I put in 10 or 15 dollars and it only puts me at a quarter of a tank or a little over. Now I can put in 10 or 15 and it'll be at half a tank now, added Brittni Ader of Box Elder.
AAA says that the average price for a gallon of gas in the Rapid City area is about seven cents less than a week ago and the average price has dropped by about 25 cents over the past month.
