Prostitution ads prompt the arrests of three in Rapid City

Rapid City police officers made three arrests for prostitution Wednesday night.

Police spokesperson Tarah Heupel says detectives investigated a website with multiple ads promoting prostitution in Rapid City.

As a result of this investigation, three women were arrested in separate incidents on Dec. 12:

-Christian Bruguier, age 25 of Rapid City, arrested for prostitution, ingesting, and possession of a controlled substance.

-Marjorie Martin, age 30 of Milwaukee, Wis., arrested for prostitution and possession of marijuana.

-LaQwandia Lathan, age 23 of Milwaukee, Wis., arrested for prostitution and possession of marijuana.

Prostitution (SDCL 22-23-1) is a class 1 misdemeanor. Police will not be releasing any additional information about this investigation.
