Couple welcomes newborn on 12/12/12

We bring you stories on the New Years baby every year but Wednesday's date can mean a significant date for a birthday too.

December 12th, 2012 will be the last repeating date for more than 89 years.

Cody and Matty Mehlhaff of Piedmont welcomed their daughter, Macy Lynn, at 10:01am.

They say Macy, was due Tuesday, on her grandma's birthday, but are OK with having a unique date for their daughters birthday.

"We didn't plan it, we thought it would be really cool. We had our due date as the 11th so it was just a coincidence," says Matty.

"I always thought in the back of my mind that somehow we would get it done on 12/12/12 and it's very easy for me to remember this birthday and it's really special," says her husband Cody.

Macy lynn is their first child, born weighing 6lbs 10 oz and is 18 inches long.
