Salvation Army bell ringers bring in the dough

A KOTA territory charity is on track to break records this holiday season
The salvation army's fundraising goal amount is $250,000, and so far they've raised 55% of that.

The bell ringers and their kettles have brought in roughly $152,000 to date.

And while the kettles are bringing in more dough, the home mailer fliers are 5% behind last years totals so far.

Salvation army officials say that may be because many of their white collar donators are worried about the current economic conditions and the fiscal cliff.

In total, this years donations are 5% ahead of last years contributions .
