A renovated theater in KOTA Territory got its first dose of holiday spirit over the weekend, with a cappella carols and a visit from a forgotten reindeer.
A Cappella Showcase put on its Wonderful Christmastime show Sunday afternoon, singing versions of several popular Christmas carols.
Olaf the Other Reindeer joined the women on stage to add a bit of humor to the holiday routine, and several other local musicians and dancers joined in as well.
It's the first time the group has performed at the renovated historic theater in the old Dakota Middle School building, but directors say it won't be the last.
"We've gone to churches, we've gone to schools, we've gone to places" to perform, director Judy Vidal said, "but we didn't have a home. And now we have a home. And so it's wonderful for Rapid City, it's wonderful for all the arts groups."
A Cappella Showcase is one of the first groups to perform at the recently-renovated theater.
