Well-known Rapid City man killed in vehicle accident

A man who used to be in charge of one of KOTA Territory's most successful tourist attractions has been killed in a vehicle accident.

Kevin Casey, formerly of Bear Country U.S.A., was discovered Friday morning by a hired hand on his buffalo ranch near Vivian, South Dakota.

Casey had been ejected from his car on 293rd Avenue about three miles north of Vivian.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol says Casey was northbound, driving a 2010 Dodge Ram 2500 on a gravel road. The vehicle left the roadway and rolled. Casey died at the scene.

The crash happened sometime between midnight and 7:40 a.m.

Casey was 51 years old.
