Crash photos of Wyoming-bound plane released

Photos of the area where a small plane crash was discovered Sunday in central Utah have been released.

The plane and its three passengers went missing on Nov. 25 shortly after making a refueling stop in Fillmore, Utah. It was heading from Bakersfield, Calif., to Gillette, Wyo.

Sheriff Nathan Curtis said the aircraft will be removed Tuesday from U.S. Forest Service property about 14 miles east of the Fillmore airport.

The NTSB and the FAA have been on the scene since Monday afternoon compiling information. Curtis says they are also speaking with family members to piece together what happened.

The plane was carrying Gillette resident, 34-year-old Trista Meyer, her daughter, 9-year-old Shyann Lenz and Meyer's boyfriend, 37-year-old Matt Ahrens.

According to Curtis, the bodies should be returned home within a week.
