Interstate 90 near Spearfish to get a facelift

Interstate 90 near Spearfish will get a facelift next year.  The project on I-90 between exit 10 and 17 will begin in March of 2013.

In April traffic will be head-to-head as workers resurface the east bound lanes. All four lanes will re-open for the rally and then close again shortly after. The entire project is expected to take about 10 months.  The section that will be worked on is the original pavement, constructed in 1973.  "It's met its design life and it's time for a facelift," Department of Transportation Engineer John Gerlach said.
The west bound lanes will be re-paved in 2014 and the exit 14 interchange will be re-done in 2015.
