Addiction Recovery Centers of the Black Hills has left the downtown Rapid City area for its new location on North Haines Avenue and Patton Street. The organization currently services adults as well adolescents with its intensive outpatient treatment program.
Chief executive officer Doug Austin said the move to the north side of town was strategic.
"I'm not saying that North Rapid has a worse alcohol problem than West Rapid but a lot of our clients do come from this area," said Austin. "So I think it's important to have it right here."
Austin said the center plans to develop both a family program and co-dependency program in the near future. The $250,000 facility took five months to complete.
