A Rapid City classroom will be able to take a big leap into the 21st century, thanks to the Prize Patrol.
First grade teacher at Pinedale elementary, Ramie Krysl, was awarded close to $500 dollars as part of a grant from the Rapid City Public Schools Foundation.
The grants award innovative curriculums and help fund a variety of science, math and technology engineering projects.
Krysl says she plans to buy mp3 players for her class to help them improve their reading skills.
"We're getting ones with touch screens so they can see what they're selecting, they can choose their books. So, it's a fun way for students to learn," said Krysl.
Grants from the Rapid City Public Schools Foundation totaling $6,500 were presented at five area schools Friday morning.
