The man responsible for a dangerous three car pile up has been sentenced to 21 years behind bars.
Seth Dismounts Thrice, 24, pled guilty to three counts of vehicular battery.
Prosecutors say Dismounts Thrice poses a significant threat to the community, because he has five prior felony convictions, many which involve driving.
Dismounts thrice was the driver in the January accident on Haines avenue that sent three people to the hospital with serious injuries.
"Seth Dismounts Thrice is a danger to the citizens of this community. He was under the influence of drugs and alcohol behind the wheel on a Sunday afternoon and endangered many lives. Three people were seriously injured. One of his passengers was life-flighted to Sanford in Sioux Falls," said Pennington county prosecutor Gina Nelson.
He then allegedly fled the scene and was arrested two months later.
