Investigation continues into deadly Rapid City house fire

There are still many questions about the cause of a fatal west Rapid City house fire on 6th avenue off Jackson boulevard.

Marcia Rock, 51 was pronounced dead at the scene. Siblings - Thomas Rosado, Dustin Rosado and Marquez Hawk Wing were pronounced at the hospital.

Autopsy results show all died from smoke inhalation as a result of the fire.
A makeshift memorial has been set up at the house, and neighbors have plans to erect an altar at the site.

An investigator with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms was on scene Thursday morning to assist in the investigation.

According to municipal records, the house in question was up to code at the time of the incident.

The previous owner did have violations in 2009 for not having smoke detectors, having improper plumbing and electrical service that needed to be replaced.
And even though there were 21 people living in those 5 units, city officials say there's no enforceable maximum occupancy rule for apartments.

That's up to the landlord.
