Parade of trees at School of Mines

A KOTA Territory college hosts its own parade of trees all made with the movie 'A Christmas Story' in mind.

The Surbeck Center Ballroom was lined with approximately 23 Christmas trees decorated by various student and faculty organizations.

The Student Leadership and Activities Association has been hosting the parade of trees for more than two decades and it's a change for groups to produce the most creative and festive tree of the season.

"There's one office on campus where people come and see me and want to know if we have a topic yet, because she wants to know right away so she can start," said Cheryl Dillon, Student Activities Leadership Center Secretary.

The trees were on display to the public on Wednesday and are still up for the students to enjoy on Thursday.
