Local bank employees hope to make Christmas a little more merry for 63 area children.
Highmark Federal Credit Union in Rapid City kicked off its 3rd Annual Giving Tree event Monday.
To help start the giving process, 7th and 8th graders from East Middle School spent the afternoon in the lobby singing Christmas Carols.
Anyone is welcome to take a name, provide a gift. All 63 children are from the Black Hills Children's Home in Rockerville.
The Children's Home Society helps more than 2,000 children a year across the state of South Dakota.
Most children at the home are victims of severe abuse, sexual abuse, and neglect.
