A new intersection designed to better connect
parts of Rapid City is now open to traffic.
Public Works Director Terry Wolterstorff says
the intersection -- located at South Valley Drive and East Minnesota Street--
gives drivers and emergency workers another way to connect to Elk Vale Drive.
The City has been working on the $360,000
project for the last two months. Wolterstorff says he expects development
around the new intersection to take off in the near future.
An apartment complex is currently being built
on East Minnesota Street on the other side of Elk Vale Road.
