One of five Rapid City men involved in a January crime spree has been sentenced to 15 years behind bars.
Matthew Wright, 22, admitted it was his BB gun that was fired at police at the end of a night long crime spree.
He and four other men admitted to robbing at least two gas stations and a residence in a span of a few hours.
The state originally recommended 30 years in prison, but asked Judge Mary Thorstenson for a lower sentence Tuesday based on Wright's remorse.
Wright told the court he was deeply regretful and hopes to make the best of his time in the penitentiary.
He will be eligible for parole after serving 65% of his sentence.
Another man who acted as the look out during the spree received a 10 year prison sentence this summer.
