First real winter blast over, temperatures rising, snow melting

Posted:

Temperatures Monday are well above the high temperatures of Sunday.

Combined with abundant sunshine, the landscape of KOTA Territory is once again changing, now the snow melt begins.

The seasons first real blast of winter brought snow and sub-freezing temperatures to the area Veteran's Day weekend.

But a new week, brings a new weather pattern. Temperatures Monday are some five to ten degrees warmer.

And it feels warmer with the sunshine beaming through. The sun is causing much of the snow on roofs, sidewalks, and awnings to melt away.

Though areas in the shade will still have some white stuff, temperatures are expected to warm well above freezing in the next few days.
