More delays hamper the state's case against a Rapid City man accused of shooting a stranger in the head.
Kelsey Reavis, 20, is accused of shooting 28 year old Christopher Levin with a .45 caliber pistol at a house party in April.
Friday, the defense was granted a motion to appoint a private investigator who will present his findings to the court before trial.
Defense attorneys also presented motions to bring experts, and hearsay evidence into trial proceedings. That trial could take place as soon as February.
If convicted, Reavis faces a maximum of 25 years in prison for attempted murder.
