Hundreds of people packed the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center Saturday afternoon to try and get a deal on some skis.
The ski swap comes just as winter weather settles into the region allowing people to upgrade or buy new equipment cheaply.
All kinds of equipment were available, not just skis, but snowboards, bindings, and even winter clothes were available.
"The line is great this year, it goes this way and back again, and then all the way around, so the people have really responded, we love doing this. It's a way for a lot of us to get together as sort of a family. It's kind of a pre Thanksgiving for Ski for Light'ers," says Ski Swap volunteer Bradley Morgan.
All proceeds from this event will go to benefit Ski for Light, an event held every January in which people with disabilities are taught to ski.
