Prosecutors call him a "predator" who lured his victim from a social networking site.
Thursday, Michael Vinton of Rapid City was sentenced to 10 years in prison for manufacturing, possessing and distributing child pornography.
The 35 year old pleaded guilty to three counts of manufacturing, distributing and possessing child pornography in July.
Prosecutors say Vinton had images and videos of pornography involving infants that were found during an online police investigation. Prosecutors say the video downloads go back as far as 2008.
Vinton also admitted he recorded lewd videos of a teenage girl he met from MySpace. He went on to tell the court he has struggled with his past sexual abuse experiences and desperately wants treatment.
Defense attorney Will Williams says sex offender evaluations show Vinton is not a high risk to re-offend.
Vinton will be eligible for parole after serving 35% of his sentence.
