There is light at the end of the tunnel for the construction project that has plagued portions of North Rapid City for weeks.
According to Public Works Director Terry Wolterstorff, crew are wrapping up the Lacrosse Street project, which began just over a month ago.
Wolterstorff says it was a simple road–way rehabilitation project, but projects like this do take some time.
"Sealing some joints, replacing some concrete panels, work should be wrapped up in about two weeks, should be totally out of the way, we know it's been quite an inconvenience and backing up some traffic during some peak times, but we'll be happy to have that one wrapped up," says Wolterstorff.
Wolterstorff says the Lacrosse project was slated to be finished November 20th, but they expect lanes to be opened by the end of this week.
