Police release name of victim in Sheridan train accident

Posted:

Police have released the name of the Sheridan man who was struck and killed by a train in Sheridan.

Police say 61-year-old David Lee Aller was walking on the tracks Tuesday morning and failed to respond to a train when it blew its warning horn.

It happened just after six a.m. near First Street and the North Sheridan overpass. The incident forced the track to shut down for more than three hours, delaying seven other trains.

Police say the results of a blood toxicology test won't be known for about a month.
