Lines swell as voter registration deadline approaches

Expect longer lines at the Pennington County Courthouse, as the deadline for voter registration approaches.

 The last day to register is October 22nd, until 5 PM.

Pennington county auditors say they don't expect to register many more than 50 new voters per day.

Already, 1100 more people in Pennington county have voted, than during the last election.

All together, 8000 people have cast their ballots early, but there are many that will still be in a rush to do some, come November.
 
"As it gets closer to election day, there are some days near those last few days before the election we'll vote over 1000 a day," said Julie Pearson, Pennington County Auditor.
 
The auditors office says on their busiest day so far, more than 440 people came in to cast their ballots.
