Onions and mushrooms- Texas Roadhouse Recipe!
Wash and cut onions and mushrooms to desired size. Start with butter on a high heat. Add salt, pepper, onion salt, sugar, and granulated garlic when sautéing. Saute until al dente. Add a small amount of water to deglaze the pan. Simmer on low heat for approximately five minutes to let the onions and mushrooms absorb the flavors.
After cooking steaks to the desired temperature, top them with the onions and mushrooms. Pile on the shredded Monterey Jack cheese and place under the broiler until the cheese is melted. The next step…. Enjoy!
