Five Arrested on Drug Charges After Traffic Stop & Pursuit

Rapid City, S.D. –Five people were arrested on drug charges after a traffic stop and pursuit early Monday morning.

 

Just before midnight on Oct. 14, a caller reported suspicious activity at 626 N. 1St Street. The caller believed the residents were involved in drug trafficking. The responding officer observed a vehicle leaving the residence, and initiated a traffic stop.

 

The driver of the suspect vehicle pulled into the parking lot of at 1601 Haines Ave, circled the gas pumps, and accelerated out of the lot heading eastbound on Lindbergh Avenue.

 

The officer pursued the suspect vehicle south on Midway. The vehicle slowed at the intersection of Doolittle and Midway, when a passenger ran from the vehicle, heading north. This suspect was not located.

 

The officer continued pursuing the suspect vehicle west on Doolittle, south on Wood Avenue, east on Anamosa, south through an alley, east onto College Avenue, and south onto Lemmon Avenue. The suspect vehicle stopped at Lemmon and Van Buren.

 

The driver, Anthony Longsolder, age 32 of Rapid City, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, unauthorized possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, eluding law enforcement, driving without a license, and a crosswalk violation. Passenger Danielle Runningshield, age 31 of Rapid City, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, unauthorized possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and possession of marijuana.

 

The Unified Narcotics Enforcement Team then executed a search warrant at 626 N. 1St Street. Three people in the apartment were arrested, including Idamae Robideau, age 24 of Pierre, arrested for unauthorized possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana; Zachary Andrews, age 24 of Rapid City, arrested for unauthorized possession of a controlled substance; and Teagle Yellowhorse, age 21 of Pierre, arrested for unauthorized possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest and obstructing police.
