Tattoo fundraiser aims to help Humane society of the Black Hills

For many of us, our family pets have a special place in our hearts.
Now, they could have a special place on your body as well.

At least 60 to 75 people have already received a special customized paw print tattoo from Addictive Ink Tattoo in Rapid City.

The tattoos range from $25 to $45 dollars, with all proceeds going to the Humane Society of the Black Hills.

Addictive Ink has raised more than $15,000 for the Humane Society over the past four years.

Owners say the two day fundraiser is a popular event that has many people coming back year after year.

"A lot of times it is because they've gotten a pet from the Humane Society or they love the animals as we do and want to help support them," said Curtis Feller, owner of Addictive Ink Tattoo on East Philadelphia street in Rapid City.

Addictive Ink is also accepting donations of food, blankets and other pet supplies.
The tattoo fundraising event ends Monday at 8PM.
