Parade of Homes showcases what local builders can do

There's a different parade going on in the Black Hills.

The Parade of Homes is underway October 13th and 14th, allowing builders, contractors, and suppliers to show off what they can do.

There are eight homes in the parade this fall, seven of which are in Rapid City and one in Spearfish.

President of the Black Hills Home Builders Association Jeff Lage says people can come to Parade of Homes to get ideas for how they want to remodel or build their new home.

"You can really get a hands on feel of finished products and what colors work together and what kind of wood on the cabinets. It's just a great way to make a good one on one," says Lage.

Lage says the turn out has been better than their spring Parade of Homes thanks in part to the nice weather.
