Rapid City Alderman urges city to bid on restaurant

The Rapid City Public Works Committee authorized Meadowbrook Golf Course Pub and Grill to take proposals for new owners.

The city- run concessions is costing more than its making. If the idea passes, it would open the door for bids.

However, Alderman Jerry Wright is urging Rapid City to submit its own proposal. "If you submit a proposal you have a back–up plan and it's also like when I was in the construction business if you bid a job you really know the job so that would help them really understand it better and also maybe if they thing out of the box maybe they can run it and be okay," said Wright.

The matter of the Meadowbrook Golf Course restaurant goes to the full City Council on Monday.
