If you need a sign that the campaign season is in full swing - just take a drive down a popular Rapid City street.
Campaign signs are flooding W. Main Street, mainly the Pennington County Republican Headquarters. With more than 30 signs on display, Debra Watson chairwoman of the Pennington County Republican Party says she understands how the signs can yield a lot of complaints and distractions. But Watson says with the election less than 28 days away, it's important to remind people about the campaign and the candidates.
"The campaign signs create name recognition, and of course name recognition creates votes, and votes win elections, and elections matter. And that's why the campaign signs are so crucial," Watson said.
Watson says she and others added even more campaign signs Monday.
