There's something in the air thanks to the wind.
The haze in the air Monday over Rapid City is actually smoke.
It's blowing into our area from the fires out west - Idaho and Washington.
This isn't the first time we've seen smoke from those fires this season. In fact, some of the fires out west have been burning since late July.
The Mustang Complex fire in Idaho has burned nearly 350,000 acres with 59% containment.
Other larger fires out in that area have yet to reach 50% containment.
