26th Annual Black Hills Pow Wow comes to an end


And each year leading up to Native American Day, the Annual Black Hills Pow Wow takes place.

Sunday, Native Americans from 28 US states and Canada, pack up after a weekend of competitive dancing, music, and tradition.

Organizers say overall, the turnout was impressive: more than 800 dancers and hundreds of Native supporters from all over the country.

Dancers and organizers say staying true to tradition, keeps them coming back each year.

Winners were announced this evening for fine arts, the dance and drum contests.
