First snow has winter sport enthusiasts anxious for winter

With the cold snap came the first snow for many areas in the Black Hills.
Terry Peak got its first blanket of snow, and though it was thin, the mountain still started to take on it's winter form.

And with the first snow a few weeks early this year, it has winter sport enthusiasts around the region anxious.

Anxious to see if there will be more snow compared to the below average season last year.

"I'm going to be up here skiing with my brother this winter so we'll see how it is up here. After last year, I'm really excited, we had a lot of snow so hopefully it keeps going and we have the same amount we had last year," says Ben Smith, a skier from Wyoming.
Last year the first snow wasn't until November.
