Girls Inc. members receive free hair cuts

Nearly 100 young girls from KOTA Territory received free hair cuts today.

It's all part of the share the love event put on for members of Girls Inc.

Thirty stylists from twelve Rapid City salons came together at headlines academy to give the girls a shampoo, hair cut, and style before having their photos taken.

Organizer of the event, Susan Spint says this year's event is about coming together to allow these girls to look good and feel good.

"Y–F–S contacted me and asked me what we could do here as we have this new facility. And I said well let's get all the girls in here with some volunteer stylists and have my students help. We all want them to grow up to be something and express themselves too," said Spint.

The girls also had the option of having their fingernails painted by volunteers from Ellsworth Air Force Base's 28th Operations Support Squadron.
