A leading manufacturer of parts for Harley Davidson
motorcycles is prepping for a full scale move to Sturgis.
Samson Exhaust is a California based company that
manufactures motorcycle exhaust systems, mufflers, and accessories. Company CEO Kenny Price said in a press release he purchased the land back in 2007, but because of a slipping economy, decided to hold off until conditions
improved.
That time is now, and Samson Exhaust is bringing more
than just motorcycle parts to the area.
"We're going to be looking at the possibility of 30
jobs to start with and welding jobs, good paying jobs for the area and we
couldn't be happier," says Pat Kurtenbach, Sturgis Economic Development Corporation President.
The building is expected to be completed and doing business
by April of next year.
